SEAF Eastern European Growth Fund
The SEAF Central and Eastern European Growth Fund (CEEGF) is a generalist private equity fund investing in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Central and Eastern Europe. The fund was launched in 2000 and its main shareholders are IFC, DEG, Finnfund and the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau. SECO has committed USD 4.5 million to the fund.The fund’s investment policy targets companies which are locally owned, have strong management teams open to SEAF’s intensive technical support, and demonstrate strong growth prospects as well as export potential. Investment size typically ranges in USD 500,000 - 3.0 million and SEAF obtains significant minority positions of 20%-49% stakes in investee companies through a variety of equity, quasi-equity and debt instruments.
CEEGF is managed by Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF), a global investment firm specializing in SME investment. Based in Washington D.C., SEAF invests in multiple countries through an international network of offices in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
