SEAF Blue Waters Growth Fund
The SEAF Blue Waters Growth Fund (BWGF) is an investment fund launched in 2007 to invest in Vietnam. SIFEM on behalf of SECO is one of the anchor investors, committing USD 7.0 million to the fund. The other investors are Finnfund, Norfund and FMO.BWGF invests into small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam at an early stage of their expansion, using an innovative risk-sharing investment strategy, complemented with comprehensive and demand driven technical assistance. BWGF seeks to provide the growing Vietnamese private sector with a cash flow based lending instrument, answering to an extensive and largely unmet market demand for SME finance. Typical investment size is USD 100,000 - 2.0 million.
BWGF is managed by Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF), a global investment firm specializing in SME investment. Based in Washington D.C., SEAF invests in multiple countries around the world through an international network of offices in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
