Credins Bank
Credins Bank is one of the largest banks in Albania. Management owns a significant stake in Credins and other shareholders are mainly Albanian businessmen. Founded in 2003, Credins broke even after only one year of operation and has been aggressively growing since then. It has also made the most of its local roots, gaining popular reputation as the fully local bank that “speaks your language.” Credins caters mostly to the needs of small corporate clients in Albania, and also offers lending and deposits to SMEs and its retail clientele. It has set up a separate SME and retail lending unit in 2007 and lends to businesses with 5-80 staff.SIFEM's total commitment to Credins on behalf of SECO stands at EUR 5.0 million of equity and convertible debt. SIFEM's investment into Credins is a co-investment alongside the Balkan Financial Sector Equity Fund.
