Christoph Achini joined SIFEM from SECO in 2005. He began his professional career at the Global Investment Management and Research Division of UBS in 1998. In 2000 Christoph joined SECO, where he worked at the Department for Economic Development Cooperation, and was responsible for implementing the following programs: the Investment Promotion Program for Latin America, Global Environmental Financing Programs and investment in microfinance funds.
 

Christoph holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where he wrote his doctoral thesis on the impact of economic integration on democratization processes. He is also a CFA Charter holder.
